Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

This policy explains what StayUseful ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and application, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address and authentication identifiers.
  • Workspace data — workspace names, member roles and settings you create.
  • Content data — drafts, scheduled and published posts, uploaded media and bio-link pages.
  • Platform data — with your explicit authorisation, profile details, messages, comments and insights from the social accounts you connect.
  • Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and product usage events.

2. How we use data

To operate the service (publishing, inbox, automation, analytics), to authenticate you, to provide support, to bill for paid plans, to prevent abuse, and to improve the product. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your content to train third-party models.

3. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on contract performance (running the service), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent (connecting social accounts, marketing email) and legal obligation (tax records).

4. Sharing

We share data with infrastructure and processing providers who act on our instructions: cloud hosting and database, object storage, email delivery, payment processing and error monitoring. We share data with social platforms only as needed to perform the actions you request through their APIs.

5. Platform data handling

Data retrieved from connected platforms is used only to display and operate features inside the workspace that authorised the connection. It is never shared with other workspaces. Disconnecting an account deletes the stored access token and the cached platform data associated with it.

6. Retention

Account and workspace data is retained while your account is active. After deletion, data is removed from live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. Use in-app settings, or email privacy@stayuseful.app. See our data deletion instructions for the fastest route.

8. International transfers

Data may be processed outside your country. Where required, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses with our providers.

9. Children

StayUseful is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes and contact

Material changes are announced in-app and by email before taking effect. Questions: privacy@stayuseful.app.
